Waterford Greenway

The Waterford Greenway, opened in 2017, is a breathtaking 46-kilometer car-free trail stretching from historic Waterford City to the seaside town of Dungarvan. Ideal for walking or cycling, this former railway line offers incredible views of the Comeragh Mountains, the River Suir, and Waterford’s Copper Coast.

The journey takes you through highlights like the Ballyvoyle Tunnel, eleven bridges, and three viaducts. Whether starting in Dungarvan or Waterford City, bike hire is available in multiple locations. With spectacular sections featuring coastal views, lush countryside, and heritage sites, the Waterford Greenway is a must-visit for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
